Saturday, June 14 -
The Stephen Talkhouse

Saturday, May 31 - The Stephen Talkhouse

Saturday,
May 17 - The Stephen Talkhouse
with good friend Evan Watson

Thursday, May 1st - Cipriani, 42nd Street
It was an honor to perform at the Wounded Warrior Project's Annual Gala, and we had a great time. We're pleased and proud to be part of such a worthwhile and timely effort. And very special thanks to Mo and Jeremy for sharing your time and stories with us across the dinner table.

Saturday, April 26th - The Stephen Talkhouse
The Wacky Night of All Audibles: It may have been a chilly early spring night, but this was a fun warm up for the summer. We had dancin' and drinkin' and singin' along and general late-night carousing! Oh, and we had a bachelor party and a bachelorette party and a good time was had by all!

Saturday, March 29th
- The Bitter End
TGT presented the Stephen Talkhouse Summer Preview -- we pulled out a bunch of new songs and were joined by some amazing musicians including Winston Irie, Amanda Baker, Peter Zizzo, and TGT favorite Evan Watson. The night ran late but the later it got the more fun we all had.

Saturday, January 26th, 2008
- The Canal Room
For our first show of 2008, we returned to our favorite Manhattan venue, The Canal Room, for a show to benefit Freedom is Not Free. With an open bar from 9 pm to 1 am, a great opening set by Evan Watson, and performances by The Giving Tree with Rebecca Haviland and John Ellis and special guests Evan Watson and Amanda Baker,
this turned out to be a spectacularly fun night of winter rock-and-roll. Thanks to everyone who joined us, had a great time, and supported an important charity.

About our 2007 season...

Saturday, October 6th - The Canal Room
Thanks to everyone who joined us at The Canal Room for our last gig of our first season. It was a beautiful autumn night, perfect for a close-the-season party. There was a lot of great music, too, with Rebecca Haviland opening, followed by an amazing set by Little Head Thinks. Then, TGT rocked until, well, until the cows came home -- and when the cows finally rolled in, they were pretty plastered, so we're guessin' they had a great time -- and so did we!!

Friday, August 31st -
The Stephen Talkhouse
You know, it's funny -- every time we play the Talkhouse I think it's our best night there yet. But this night -- the first night of the last weekend of the summer -- was truly extraterrestial. New songs, new jams, a new day, a new way, and new eyes greet the dawn... and best of all more proceeds for the Wounded Warrior Project. Summertime may have done come and gone, but my, oh, my, we can't wait to come back to the Talkhouse. And thanks to our First East End Fan, Mark, for coming up and singing Better Man...!

Saturday, August 18th - Rock the Farm '07
This first annual benefit for Row New York and The Giving Tree Foundation was a smashing charitable success and a great party, too! People came from all over the Hamptons and Manhattan to enjoy the incredible food and drink while mixing, mingling, and dancing to the music of Rebecca Haviland, The Nancy Atlas Project and The Giving Tree with special guests. The joyful spirit of this evening was enhanced by the magnificent cool, clear August night and the
incredibly beautiful setting of John's Lane Farm in East Hampton. A big thank you to The Nancy Atlas Project and Andy Bond and John Ivers of Hot Lava for joining us on-stage for some amazing jams. And special thanks to Nick Kraus and all the good folks at John's Lane Farm and to everyone down at the Talkhouse. And, most of all, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for the first Rock the Farm and came out to support Row New York and The Giving Tree Foundation. Stay tuned for the Rock the Farm '08!

Saturday, July 21st - The Stephen Talkhouse
All we can say is "wow" -- this was an utterly amazing night. We went on at midnight and played till 3:30 am and didn't want to stop -- so we didn't: we just went to the beach and partied until the sun came up and there was just somethin' magic about that moment. TGT loves the Talkhouse crowd -- thanks, folks -- and, together, we helped out
the Wounded Warrior Project.

Thursday, July 5th -The Stephen Talkhouse
Thanks to everyone who joined us to dance, drink, and celebrate our independence. It was another excellent late night Talkhouse summer party and we helped those who are helping us -- the Wounded Warrior Project.

Saturday, June 23rd - The Stephen Talkhouse
The place was packed to capacity as all of the east end joined us to kick off the summer right at
The Stephen Talkhouse. There was dancing everywhere but on the bar! And, all our proceeds went to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

Thursday, June 21st - The Red Lion
Neither rain nor more rain kept the party faithful from experiencing the Summer Solstice with TGT at The Red Lion, where we rocked until the wee hours and raised funds for The ALS Association.

Friday, May 18th - The Stephen Talkhouse
It was a dark and stormy night outside when The Giving Tree first played The Stephen Talkhouse, but inside the crowd was hot -- we all danced and partied until, well, the cows came home. And, all of our proceeds went to the Wounded Warrior Project. TGT loves the Talkhouse, and a big thank you to a great crowd for the warm welcome!

Saturday, May 5th - The Canal Room
The Cinco de Giving Tree party at The Canal Room was amazing! We really enjoyed sharing the stage with Jones Bones and Booga Sugar and the crowd was fantastic. And, we generated a big fat charity check for The Thomas P. Cloherty Family Education Fund -- so, a big thank you to everyone for making it a great Cinco de Mayo and we'll see you there next time...

Monday, February 26th - The Mercury Lounge
Thanks to all those who joined us for our Coming Out Party at The Mercury Lounge. The Mercury Lounge is a great place to party and we'll be back there soon...

Giving Tree NYC is a New York non-profit corporation that runs the musical band, The Giving Tree. The Giving Tree Foundation is a charitable expression of Giving Tree NYC.

The band, The Giving Tree, donates all of its net earnings to charity. By "net earnings" we mean what we get paid to play gigs, what people donate directly to The Giving Tree Foundation, and what we earn selling The Giving Tree T-shirts, hats, and CDs, less only "reasonable and necessary" expenses.
